The Tony Manicaros Award 2009

Got a great idea? See it happen with the Tony Manicaros Award!

The NEMBC, in memory of Tony Manicaros, is offering the award of up to $1,500 to fund your project idea to develop ethnic community broadcasting!

The NEMBC invites ethnic and multicultural community broadcasters, programmers and stations from across Australia to apply for the 2009 Tony Manicaros Awards.

This year there are two awards and entry is open to stations, programming groups and individuals. Winners will receive one-off funding of up to $1,500 for their ethnic community broadcasting project and will be announced at the NEMBC’s 2009 Annual Conference in Melbourne on 28 November 2009.

Applications close 5pm Tuesday 10 November 2009.

The Tony Manicaros Award is given to commemorate and celebrate Tony Manicaros’ work for ethnic community broadcasting on a station, state and national basis. Full time ethnic community broadcasting stations, ethnic umbrella groups and the Community Broadcasting Foundation have provided funding for the award.

 

NEMBC Radioactive Youth Broadcasting Awards 2009

We want to hear YOUR radio features and live-to-air programs!

Applications for the NEMBC’s 2009 Radioactive Youth Broadcasting Awards are now officially open. Young ethnic broadcasters from across Australia are invited to apply. This year there are two awards up for grabs: the Multicultural/Ethnic Youth Program of the Year and the Multicultural/Ethnic Youth Broadcaster of the Year.

The winners will be announced at the NEMBC Annual Conference Dinner on Saturday the 28th of November 2009 in Melbourne. They will receive a certificate and a prize, as well as acknowledgement for their program and station in The Ethnic Broadcaster.

Entries close Friday October 30th, 2009!

Women's Broadcasting Award 2009

Do you create an innovative radio program for multicultural women? Do you provide an important service for women in your community?

The NEMBC invites you to apply for the 2009 Women’s Broadcasting Award, celebrating the talents and contributions of women in ethnic and multicultural community broadcasting!

Applications are now open for the Multicultural/Ethnic Women's Program of the Year Award. The winner will be announced at this years’ NEMBC Conference in Melbourne during the gala dinner on November 28th, 2009. Winners will receive a certificate and a prize, as well as acknowledgment for their program and station in the Ethnic Broadcaster magazine.
