The NEMBC 2008 Conference was extremely successful. The morning plenary inspired people to recognize the importance of languages in our society. The numerous workshops held on Saturday gave participants options for learning and involvement. Strategic Planning workshops at the end of the day provided the opportunity for participants to be involved and have a real input into planning of the NEMBC.

On Saturday night the Gala Dinner provided an emotional awards night and a feast of musical entertainment that showed the ‘NEMBC Rocks’.

• The Strategic Planning workshops. CLICK here to download the outcomes. The outcomes are in a draft format and any feedback is welcome. The main Strategic Plan that was adopted by the Executive Committee can be downloaded from the homepage. Input from the workshops can now be checked with the main strategic plan.

• ‘NEMBC Rocks’ – entertainment for the night included Hip-Hop performers from Sydney based Urban Prophetz and musical groups that kept the dance floor jumping.  Click here for viewing a video clip of the Urban Prophetz. It will take about 4 minutes to download this file.
