Purpose: Provides assistance to individuals and organisations towards the costs of one-off projects in such fields as community arts, festivals, public art and youth arts where interdisciplinary and/or community cultural activities are significant.

Brisbane City Council - Community Development Assistance Grants
Purpose: Community Development Assistance Grants assist community groups to develop ways ofenhancing social justice and quality of life in Brisbane. A wide range of projects which address social justice issues with a community development methodology have been funded over the past three years. These grants could also cover other issues, e.g. domestic violence or community safety issues.

Brisbane City Council - Local Cultural and Festival Grants
Purpose: The Local Cultural and Festivals Grants Program provides assistance to community groups todevelop cultural projects, festivals and special events that relate to local communities. In thiscontext, a local community is defined as either: a distinct geographic area or neighbourhood; or a group who share common interests, goals or background.
Money Available: The maximum grant allowed is $7,500 (exclusive of GST). The average grant will be in the $2,000 -$5,000 range.
Eligibilty: Any incorporated group or organisation within the Brisbane City Council operating on a nonprofit basis. Non-incorporated groups may apply. However, grants must be administered by an incorporated association.

Brisbane City Council - Major Festivals and Cultural Projects Fund
Purpose: The Major Festivals and Cultural Projects Fund provides financial assistance to Brisbane organisations to support innovative arts and cultural projects, festivals and special events which foster a distinctive city identity and vibrant cultural life.
Money Available: No upper funding limit, however it is expected that most proposals will be funded in the vicinity of $15 000 to $20 000 (exclusive of GST).
Eligibilty: Any formally constituted organisation, or any group which has a written agreement with a formally constituted organisation to provide an auspice. Commercial groups may only be funded if the applicant can demonstrate a genuine community benefit and the proposal extends beyond the core operating activities of the business.

Brisbane City Council - Senior Citizens Funding Program
Purpose: These grants recognise the valuable contribution that older people make to the livability and viability of Brisbane. The grants aim to help you increase your service to your current members and attract new members.
Money Available: The maximum grant allowed under the Senior Citizens Funding Program is $1 000.
Eligibilty: These grants are available for projects, clubs and groups for people over 50 years of age which are not funded by other sources. Senior's groups that are part of other organisations can also apply. Funding is not available for completed projects or items already purchased.

Gaming Machine Community Benefit Fund
Purpose: The Gaming Machine Community Benefit Fund provides one-off grants to Queensland-based community organisations to assist these organisations to provide services and activities within their local communities. Grants are restricted to non-recurrent projects to ensure that the Fund retains the capacity to respond frequently and flexibly to community need.
Money Available: Applications for up to $30,000 are encouraged, but applications for larger grants will be considered.
Eligibilty: Queensland non-profit community organisations are eligible to apply for a grant, either in their own right (if incorporated) or through a sponsor (if not incorporated).
