Tara has been involved in community broadcasting since her university days and has volunteered with a number of community radio stations, including Radio Adelaide 101.5fm, SYN Media and 3CR.
She has worked as a journalist, producer and presenter for The Wire, an independent national current affairs radio program and various current affairs and arts based programs. At Radio Adelaide she was a producer for Breakfast and also hosted The Range, Radio Adelaide’s drive time program.
Tara became interested in community media while studying journalism and working as a subeditor of her student magazine at the University of South Australia. Since 2013 she has been producing and presenting Friday Breakfast at 3CR and also serves as an editor for various online publications, including Heckler, an arts based review site and We Matter Media, an online publication dedicated to social commentary.
Tara is a strong believer in preserving media diversity and independence and wants to see more multicultural community broadcasting projects supported in Australia.
